On 18 October, Boticas Parque – Nature and Biodiversity will host the “Boticas Trout Gastronomic Festival”, an initiative dedicated to the promotion, appreciation and sustainability of this regional product.

The official opening ceremony will be attended by representatives from Boticas Municipality, the Mais Boticas Association, the AquaValor Centre for Knowledge Promotion and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. The programme includes a presentation of the “Sustentabilidade Truta” project, as well as the launch of new products and flavours developed using trout.

One of the highlights of the day will be the cooking show featuring chefs Justa Nobre and Vítor Adão, followed by a tasting session that will showcase different ways of reinventing this product at the table.

The event is topped off with activities designed to explore the park’s biodiversity and a moment to watch the sunset by the River Beça, combining the region’s cuisine with its natural heritage.
