The Nadir Afonso Arts Center (CANA) is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Boticas and the Nadir Afonso Foundation. At the Center, visitors can enjoy part of the painter's personal collection free of charge, as well as part of the Foundation's collection.

Nadir Afonso Arts Centre (1920-2013) was a Portuguese architect, painter and thinker who left an important artistic legacy characterised by geometric precision and visual harmony. He is considered one of the most important figures in the history of modern and contemporary art in Portugal.
Built to house the Foundation's pole, the building, designed by Louise Braverman, has received two awards: "The International Architecture Awards" attributed in Chicago and "The Green Good Design Awards" attributed by The Chicago Athenaeum (Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies).
