Located on a promontory of conical morphology, at the limit of the municipalities of Boticas and Chaves, the settlement, from the Iron Age, is delimited by two lines of surrounding walls, which present a marked overthrow.
The defence system is complemented by a field of hollowed-out stones, located in the northern part of the settlement. Traces of dwellings can be identified on the upper platform.

A small hermitage is preserved partially overlapping one of the wall lines.
On the western slope, partially overlapping one of the wall lines, a small hermitage is preserved, partially embedded in the rocky outcrop. Inside there are some impressive inscriptions and symbols engraved in bas-relief, which reveal an evident religious syncretism of Christian tradition.

The hermit José, who built, decorated and occupied the hermitage at the end of the 20th century, abandoned the site at the beginning of the 21st century, having resettled in the sanctuary of Nossa Senhora das Neves.
