The Hillfort of Sapelos is located on a promontory on an elongated spur on the left bank of the River Terva.

Traces of circular-plan dwellings can be seen on the upper platform.

With two lines of wall, made up of granite and quartzite elements, the settlement has a defence reinforced by two large surrounding moats, which are crossed by long ditches of probable mining extraction, forming a complex system of moats and ditches of equally complex interpretation.
Traces of circular-plan dwellings can be seen on the upper platform.
