The restaurant Abstrato, at the Boticas Hotel Art & Spa, will host a special dinner on 27 March with the award-winning chef and author Nuno Diniz, at an event marking the launch of his latest book, Barrosã do Focinho ao Rabo(Barrosã from snout to tail), published with the support of the Municipality of Boticas.
Nuno Diniz has been a guest chef in nearly 100 countries.
The book demonstrates how to cook every part of the animal, including less common cuts, in a guide that celebrates the culinary traditions and flavours of the Barroso region.
The menu, designed for this dinner, will be prepared collaboratively by Nuno Diniz, Justa Nobre – one of the leading figures in Portuguese cuisine and gastronomic consultant for Abstrato – and David Nobre, the restaurant's resident chef.
The initiative will also be marked by the restaurant’s recognition by the Confraria da Carne Barrosã, which will award Abstrato a plaque of recommendation.
