Unfortunately they were setting up something near the Roman bridge for an event, which made it impossible to take pictures without things spoiling the view. <\/div>\r\n                \n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\" class=\"translation-block\">The day was saved by the Burguesia restaurant, which I already knew by name but had not yet visited. The space next to the Roman bridge is modern but unpretentious, and the staff friendly. I ordered a \"Caco burgu\u00eas\" with certified Barroso beef - by the way, the image of the Carne Barros\u00e3 PDO was developed by me #thingsthatmatter - Cheddar cheese, bacon, mushrooms, rocket, cherry tomato, red onion and mustard and honey sauce. It was great. For dessert I ordered a caramel fondant with chocolate crumble and red fruit ice cream which was also very good (particularly the caramel fondant).
