Opened in 2013, the Nadir Afonso Arts Centre<\/a> is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Boticas and the Nadir Afonso Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership between the two entities allows the people of Boticas, in particular, and all visitors to Boticas, to enjoy part of the collection of the painter's family and part of the Foundation's collection free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European Documentation and Interpretation Centre for Iron Age Sculpture (CEDIEC)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Centre<\/a> (CEDIEC) aims to promote archaeological excavations and investigations at selected sites, with special emphasis on the Castro do Outeiro Lesenho hillfort, and other similar sites which, when networked, may shed light on the essential parameters of the cultural development of the indigenous communities of the western Iberian Peninsula. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boticas Rural Museum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Next to CEDIEC, the Boticas Rural Museum<\/a>, is one of the constituent poles of the Ecomuseu de Barroso project, made up of various poles scattered around the municipalities of Boticas and Montalegre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It aims to provide an insight into the unique identity of each place, and the various ways in which the inhabitants of Barroso have interacted with their territorial and cultural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quinta do Cruzeiro House Museum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The house of the Quinta do Cruzeiro<\/a>, was once part of a larger agrarian structure, composed of casais<\/em> (dispersed parcels), which served to support the owners and servants. Today, only the land adjacent to the house remains from this agrarian structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By touring the different spaces you can get to know some aspects of the social life of the house and work on the farm and village of Covas do Barroso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terva Valley Archaeological Park Interpretation Centre<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The TVAP<\/a> is an archaeological park with a continuous geographic character, which integrates a set of cultural and natural values, which constitute relevant and representative resources of the various landscapes that have been formed in the territory, incorporating visitation infrastructures, such as the Interpretation Centre, in Bobadela, interpreted circuits and platforms for observing heritage resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Interpretation Centre (TVAPIC), located in the village of Bobadela, is the entrance to the TVAP - the exhibition contents are a bridge to the enjoyment of the landscape and heritage in loco<\/em>, proposed through visitation routes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
