The European Centre for the Documentation and Interpretation of Castro Sculpture (CEDIEC) aims to promote archaeological excavation and research at selected sites, with special emphasis on the Hillfort of Outeiro Lesenho,<\/a> and other similar ones which, articulated in a network, may clarify the essential parameters of the cultural development of the indigenous communities of the Western Iberian Peninsula. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre aims to promote archaeological excavation and research work.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The centre's permanent exhibition includes replicas of the four statues of Castro warriors found in the hillfort of Outeiro Lesenho, the originals of which are in the National Archaeological Museum in Lisbon. Free entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
